I have always loved to read. To this day, I still love picture books and chapter books alike. One of my goals for my students is to create a literacy-rich classroom; I want to provide and encourage opportunities for them to fall in love with reading. I aim to provide them with well-written texts as well as things that peak their interests. Children will not fall in love with reading if it is leveled or they are limited to a certain type of book. In a day of screens and technology, I aim to make reading enjoyable for my students once again. I also believe that books can provide great life lessons and inspiration to students.
